Folk dance competition - लोकनृत्य स्पर्धा: Aurangabad SSK

Performing arts are always eye catching and glamorous. Indian dance forms in particular are full of energy and depict the rich culture of our subcontinent sized country. Providing a platform to the talent and energy of underprivileged school children, JBGVS’ SSK at Bajaj Vihar in Aurangabad recently organized a folk dance competition, in which 150 students from 13 schools participated. Veteran folk dance researcher Shri Dilip Khanderai and senior Bharatnatyam dancer and teacher Shri Vikrant Vaikos graced the occasion as the esteemed judges. Rajasthani, Punjabi as well as Marathi dance forms like Lavni, Gondhal, Dhangar folk dance, Manglagaur folk dance and a couple of tribal dances were depicted by the participants. नृत्यकला नेहेमीच आकर्षक व भव्य वाटते. आपल्या विशालकाय देशाची समृद्ध संस्कृती व सळसळता उत्साह भारतीय नृत्य प्रकारांमधून दिसून येतो. आर्थिक दृष्ट्या मागास गटातील मुलांच्या गुणांना व उत्साहाला अलीकडेच JBGVS च्या औरंगाबाद येथील समाज सेवा केंद्राने लोकनृत्य स्पर्धेच्या रूपाने एक व्यासपीठ मिळवून दिले. संस्थेच्या बजाज विहार वास्तूमध्ये पार पडलेल्या या स्पर्धेत १३ शाळांतील १५० विद्यार्थ्यांनी भाग घेतला. ज्येष्ठ लोकनृत्य अभ्यासक श्री दिलीप खंडेराय व भरतनात्याम मधील जाणकार शिक्षक श्री विक्रांत वायकोस यांनी परीक्षकांची भूमिका पार पाडली. राजस्थानी, पंजाबी, तसेच लावणी, गोंधळ, धनगर नृत्य, मंगळागौर व काही वनवासी नृत्ये यांसारखे मराठी नृत्य प्रकार सदर करण्यात आले. या अपूर्व सोहळ्याची काही छायाचित्रे व एक वृत्तपत्र बातमी सोबत पहा.....
